I enabled two-factor authentication for all my Google services several weeks ago. So far, it has been relatively uneventful. On a few occasions I have had to come downstairs to read the default SMS message and verify, but on other occasions I opted for a voice-based alternative. I added my Google Voice number as the alternate two-factor authentication line, so all our phones ring.
